File a Complaint
Ai termini tal-artikolu 77 (1) tar-Regolament Ġenerali tal-Protezzjoni tad-Data, inti għandek id-dritt li tintavola ilment formali mal-Uffiċċju tagħna, jekk taħseb li l-ipproċessar tad-data personali tiegħek qiegħed jikser il-liġi tal-protezzjoni tad-data.
Biex tressaq l-ilment tiegħek, inti qiegħed tintalab tuża l-formola online.
Huwa obbligatorju li timla’ l-kaxex li huma mmarkati b’asterisk (*).
Huwa importanti wkoll li tipprovdi d-dettalji kollha tal-kontrollur, tal-individwu jew tal-organizzjoni kontra min int qiegħed tagħmel l-ilment. Dan għaliex mingħajr dawn id-dettalji dan l-Uffiċċju ma jkunx jista’ jikkuntatja dawn l-persuni. L-investigazzjoni tibda ġaladarba l-ilment jiġi kkunsidrat bħala ammissibli.
Jekk għal xi raġuni jew oħra inti tagħlaq il-formola qabel ma tagħfas l-buttuna ‘Submit Complaint’, l-ebda informazzjoni ma tiġi miżmuma u l-ilment ma jiġix irrekordjat fis-sistema interna tagħna.
Deċiżjonijiet li jinħarġu mill-Kummisarju huma legalment vinkolanti u jistgħu jiġu appellati quddiem it-Tribunal tal-Informazzjoni u l-Protezzjoni tad-Data u possibilment ukoll fil-Qorti tal-Appell. F’dan il-każ, inti tkun parti minn dawn il-proċeduri u għalhekk trid turi interess attiv sabiex tiddefendi l-każ tiegħek.
Dan l-Uffiċċju se jżommok infurmat bil-progress u l-eżitu tal-ilment fi żmien raġonevoli.
L-ilmenti, inkluż dokumenti pprovduti mal-ilment, iridu jkunu f’waħda mil-lingwi uffiċjali tal-pajjiż ġifieri bil-Malti jew bl-Ingliż.
In terms of article 77(1) of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a formal complaint with our Office, if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the data protection legal framework.

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
It is important to provide the full details of the controller - the individual or organisation against whom you are lodging the complaint - as otherwise we would not be able to establish contact with such person and initiate the investigation, if the complaint is deemed to be admissible.
If for whatever reason you close the form before pressing the 'Submit Complaint' button, no information will be retained and the complaint will not be recorded on our internal system.
Decisions issued by the Commissioner are legally-binding and may be challenged before the Information and Data Protection Appeals Tribunal and possibly, the Court of Appeal. In case of an appeal, you will be a party to these proceedings, and must therefore demonstrate active interest in defending your case.
We will keep you informed of the progress and the outcome of the complaint within a reasonable period.
Complaints, including the necessary supporting documentation, shall be made in one of Malta's official languages - Maltese or English.
