Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) Legal Counsel Sasha Muscat was invited to attend this year’s LegalTechTalk, which was held on 17 and 18 June 2026 in London. The event brought together legal professionals, technology experts, and regulators from around the world to discuss the latest developments shaping the future of the legal industry.

Over the course of the two-day event, attendees took part in a series of expert-led discussions and hands-on workshops covering a wide range of topics. These included the importance of keeping pace with rapid developments in AI, the need to promote ethical use of AI, the data protection and privacy law implications of AI misuse, and the challenges brought about by the ever-increasing number of AI-generated legal claims.

It also provided a valuable opportunity to connect with professionals from across the legal and technology sectors, exchange ideas and experiences, and gain practical insights from experts in these fields.
