Cooperation Agreement signed between the IDPC and the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines

The Commissioner firmly believes in the importance of developing international cooperation mechanisms with data protection counterparts in third countries primarily designed to share information and expertise on data protection practices.

In the margins of the 45^th Global Privacy Assembly held in Bermuda, the IDPC and the Privacy Commissioner of the Philippines signed a Memorandum of Understanding, by means of which, both authorities commit themselves to foster collaboration and cooperation between them in the area of the protection of personal data. 

The IDPC and the Privacy Commissioner of the Philippines acknowledge the importance of keeping each other informed about their respective regulatory activity in order to better protect the rights and freedoms of the citizens of the Philippines and of Malta and support businesses in compliance with laws protecting personal data.
